How do I notarize a document online?

  1. Tell Liz what you need

Share the document, how many people need to sign and your preferred appointment time.

  2. Confirm your appointment

Liz checks whether the transaction is eligible and arranges the video appointment with you.

  3. Verify your identity and sign

You’ll use a compliant notarization platform with the required identity checks and records. Liz will guide you through signing.

Before your video appointment

Can I use a Texas online notary from another state?

Yes. The Notary Way serves online customers throughout the United States while Liz performs the notarization from Texas. Your document and transaction must meet the applicable requirements, and its recipient must accept the notarization.

Is online notarization just a regular video call?

No. Remote online notarization uses a compliant platform with identity verification, two-way audio and video, and required records. Liz arranges the appropriate process before you sign.

Can every document be notarized online?

No. Texas guidance excludes wills, codicils and testamentary trusts from online notarization. Other documents can have recipient or transaction requirements. Liz can explain the notarization process, but she cannot choose or prepare documents or give legal advice.
